Service Area: Washington DC, Maryland, and Virginia
By booking a service, visiting our website, or using our mobile application, you (“Customer,” “you,” or “your”) agree to be bound by the following Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully before scheduling any service.
1. Services Provided
911 Mechanic provides mobile auto repair, diagnostic, and maintenance services at customer-specified locations. Our certified technicians perform work based on the customer’s request, description of issues, or an initial inspection.
We also offer pre-purchase inspections, maintenance, and roadside assistance (coming soon).
2. Inspections and Diagnostic Fees
We offer a free inspection and problem detection if you decide to move forward with our recommended repair or service.
If you choose not to proceed with any of our proposed services after the inspection or diagnostic, a $79 diagnostic fee will apply. This fee covers our technician’s travel, labor, and time spent diagnosing the issue.
All diagnostic results remain the property of 911 Mechanic until full payment of the inspection fee or acceptance of the repair quote.
3. Estimates and Pricing
All quotes are provided upfront before work begins and are based on labor and parts required.
- Labor rates are fixed and displayed in your estimate.
- Parts are sourced from reputable, local retailers and are brand new unless otherwise stated in writing.
- We do not mark up parts; customers pay only the retail cost.
- Additional work or parts not included in the initial quote must be authorized by the customer before being performed.
All estimates are valid for 7 days from the date issued unless otherwise stated.
4. Warranty
911 Mechanic provides a 1-year limited warranty on both parts and labor for all services performed by our technicians.
- The warranty covers defects in workmanship and new parts installed by us.
- The warranty does not cover:
- Pre-existing damage, wear, or unrelated failures
- Customer-supplied parts
- Modifications, racing, or off-road use
- Subsequent damage resulting from continued vehicle operation after an advised repair
Warranty claims must be reported to 911 Mechanic immediately upon discovery of the issue. Warranty coverage is limited to re-performing the repair or replacing the defective part, at our discretion. Refunds are not guaranteed.
5. Payments
Payment is due upon completion of the service unless otherwise agreed in writing. We accept all major credit/debit cards and digital payments through our secure system.
Unpaid balances are subject to a 2% monthly late fee and may result in collection actions.
6. Cancellations and Rescheduling
Customers may cancel or reschedule appointments up to 2 hours before the scheduled service without penalty.
Cancellations made after that window may incur a $35 service call fee to compensate our technician’s travel and scheduling costs.
7. Limitation of Liability
911 Mechanic and its employees, contractors, or affiliates shall not be held liable for:
- Any incidental, indirect, or consequential damages, including loss of income, downtime, or transportation costs.
- Customer’s failure to disclose relevant information about vehicle condition, prior repairs, or modifications.
- Damage resulting from pre-existing vehicle issues, corrosion, or unsafe conditions not caused by our service.
Our maximum liability under any circumstance is limited to the total amount paid by the customer for the service in question.
8. Customer Responsibilities
By booking with 911 Mechanic, you agree to:
- Provide a safe, accessible location for the repair (flat driveway, parking lot, or similar).
- Ensure permission for work to be done at the specified location.
- Disclose any modifications, aftermarket parts, or known issues that could affect the repair.
If a technician determines that conditions are unsafe or unsuitable for work, the appointment may be rescheduled or canceled at the company’s discretion.
9. Use of Our Platform
By using our website or mobile app, you agree not to misuse or attempt to disrupt our services. Any misuse may result in termination of access and potential legal action.
10. Independent Contractors
All technicians performing services through 911 Mechanic may operate as independent contractors. 911 Mechanic is not responsible for any acts or omissions of such contractors beyond the scope of our verified service procedures.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Fairfax County, VA.
12. Changes to These Terms
911 Mechanic reserves the right to update or modify these Terms and Conditions at any time without prior notice. The latest version will always be available at www.911mechanics.com/terms.
